Westgate Concert Band is a community symphonic wind ensemble comprising woodwind, brass & percussion. We were formed in 1979 by Derek Humphrey and Roy Hamilton to extend young musicians in Melbourne's west by providing opportunities to perform music at an advanced level.

Westgate Concert Band exists to provide members with a positive, nurturing place to advance their musical skills and deliver exciting musical experiences that delight our community.
Our mission is to:
Provide opportunities for community musicians to play quality and varied music within a welcoming ensemble, challenging members to develop and celebrating their achievements through regular performances.
Engage with the community through regular social activities and performances, encouraging individuals from all walks of life to pursue and enjoy music.
Improve social connectedness and well-being through music.
